LPN - Part Time Evenings - LTC

About the role

Facility: GSS MN Battle Lake Ctr. Location: Battle Lake, MN. Address: 105 Glenhaven Dr, Battle Lake, MN 56515, USA. Shift: 8‑hour evening shifts. Part‑time, 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and competency within the full scope of nursing expertise.
• Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide needed care.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations.
• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
• Contribute to resident assessment and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public.
• Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Apply resident education principles to develop self‑care programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• If IV therapy/management skills are required (North Dakota), graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy curriculum or completion of an approved IV Therapy course.
• Must have attended a pre‑licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the life span or have a minimum of 400 hours LPN experience at another facility.
• Hold an unencumbered LPN license with the state nursing board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges.
• Obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
• Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training.

Pay

Salary range: $27.75 – $36.00 per hour. Includes a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
