How You'll Help

• Transforms healthcare by providing practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic setting.
• Complies with all relevant policies and standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient growth and development to provide appropriate care.

What You'll Do

• Supports patient care under the direction of physicians or mid-level practitioners.
• Completes patient assessments, prepares patients for provider evaluations, administers medications, and coordinates telehealth clinics.
• Maintains work areas and restocks supplies, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Documents patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Teaches patients about their health, provides dietary and medication instructions, and assists with referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Assists with lab procedures, including specimen collection and preparation, and runs quality control tests.
• Performs x-ray procedures, adhering to safety protocols and documenting results.

What We Require

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate eligible for Virginia licensure.
• One year experience in a physician office preferred.
• Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in Virginia (LPN).
• Licensed Radiologic Technician certification if applicable.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification.
• Positive customer service attitude, effective communication skills, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively with various individuals.
• Keyboarding skills for automated computer systems.

Compensation
