How You'll Help

Transform Healthcare by providing practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic setting. Your role includes:

• Supporting the delivery of quality care as directed by the physician or mid-level practitioner.
• Complying with all relevant policies and standards.
• Assisting with patient assessments, specimen collection, and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, restocking supplies, and sterilizing equipment.
• Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Teaching patients about their health, including lab results, diet instructions, and medication instructions.
• Aiding in referral authorizations and pre-authorizations for testing and ancillary services.
• Performing lab procedures such as phlebotomy, peripheral sticks, and collecting and preparing urine specimens.
• Assisting with x-ray procedures, ensuring patient and self-protection, and completing documentation.

What We Require

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
• One year experience in a physician office preferred.
• Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN).
• Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
• A customer-driven attitude, positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and a professional appearance and approach.
• The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
• Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Compensation
