Department Details
The Moorhead Children’s Clinic promotes close working relationships and collaboration. Nurses work as a team with Pediatricians to provide excellent patient care. Cross-trained to other Children's Clinic locations.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program, currently holds an unencumbered LPN license, and possesses multi-state licensure privileges.
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients.
- Documents a thorough medical history from patients.
- Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
- Counsels patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
