About the role
This LPN or CMA works 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekday off.
Responsibilities
- Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory and/or home care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
- Performs identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
- Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
Qualifications
- Education as required for licensure.
- LPN: North Dakota LPN license required upon hire. Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
- Medical Assistant: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.
- Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
- AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- Healthcare experience preferred, especially in ophthalmology or optometry.
