LPN - Oncology

Role Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient-centered care under RN supervision, ensuring high-quality, age-appropriate interventions that address physical, emotional, and educational needs. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, assisting with treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and documenting treatments accurately. The LPN collaborates with healthcare team members, communicates changes in patient conditions, and contributes to care planning. They serve as educators for patients and caregivers, promote a safe environment, and participate in staff training and ongoing education. The role requires strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills, along with computer proficiency and reliable transportation. Prior healthcare experience, preferably in oncology or outpatient settings, is preferred. Certifications in LPN and BLS are mandatory. The position may involve local travel and floating between sites to meet staffing needs.
