Role Responsibilities
- Ensures Medication Room compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
- Serves as a supervisor for daily clinical operations, assigns staff, and creates schedules.
- Evaluates work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service, or maintenance staff.
- Maintains compliance with medical records and reviews them for accuracy.
- Oversees quality assurance activities and ensures operational standards are met.
- Aids in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Administers medications, documents medication administration, and ensures accurate counts.
- Collects and processes specimens and reads test results as ordered.
- May transport medication to other locations or work on a CTC Mobile Unit.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
- Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice.
- Supervisory experience preferred, unless required by State or Licensing requirements.
- Experience in behavioral health/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient).
- Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and its safe handling, administration, and documentation.
- Experience in medication dispensing, monitoring patient dosing, and observing for adverse reactions or medication interactions.
- Understanding of nursing best practices related to substance use treatment, including trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.
- Accurate and timely documentation of medication administration records, patient vitals, and incident reports.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to controlled substances and patient care.
- Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
