About the role
Provide hands-on nursing care in a correctional setting with autonomy, collaborating with a supportive medical team. This is a full-time position with a 12‑hour night shift rotation. The role involves delivering patient care, administering medications, monitoring conditions, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to medical needs
- Assist with sick call and chronic care clinics
- Perform intake screenings and health assessments
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and custody staff to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid LPN license
- Clinical judgment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation skills
