About the role

Our Skilled Nurses provide specialized care to patients in a variety of areas including orthopedics, cardiac, respiratory, oncology, palliative care, infections, neurology, and dermatology. You will be empowered to assess the needs and implement care as you deem necessary utilizing the latest in technology and being a part of a strong interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of treatments, including wound care, irrigations, IV therapy, tube feedings, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis.
• Administer medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and advise patients and families regarding changes to medications, treatment plans, and patient condition.
• Provide preventative and supportive care directed to the physiologic and psychosocial well-being of patients.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, their families, and visitors. Foster a positive, healthy environment for healing and thriving through kind words and encouragement.
• Oversee the Nurse Aide team including giving direction and assignments, offering training, and contributing to recognition and evaluations.

Requirements

• A current license to practice as a Practical Nurse or LPN in Michigan.
• Current CPR-BLS certification.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or higher.
• A high level of analytical abilities to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team members and getting the job done.

Pay

Starting wage: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour based on years of certification, plus $3.40 per hour hero pay, plus up to $1.25 per hour shift premium for afternoon shifts. Afternoon shift rate: $33.90 per hour. Yearly wage increases.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts, all shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays.
• Full-time or part-time positions available.
• Afternoon and midnight shifts available.
• We can work with your scheduling needs.
