LPN Memory Care / Villages of Murfreesboro

Full-time night shift position in an 18-bed Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Memory Care unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current State Nursing licensure
• Prior clinical and recent mental health or gerontological experience preferred
• Effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
• Stable emotional makeup; creative, caring, and able to work under stressful conditions
• Professional conduct, including honoring boundaries, setting limits, and maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, families, physicians, and residents
• Ability to follow state licensure guidelines for all aspects of medications
• Ability to make appropriate decisions in difficult situations and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to accurately assess residents’ health status

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move more than 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Administer medication as prescribed
• Implement the plan of care and maintain a safe environment
• Carry out doctor’s orders and provide complete documentation
• Provide coaching, supervision, and assistance to direct care staff
• Provide and supervise basic care for residents
• Role model appropriate interactions with residents, staff, and families to ensure a therapeutic environment
• Some weekends and holidays required
