Piedmont Macon Medical is a 310-bed facility providing 24-hour emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient surgery options, maternity services and heart care. Additionally, the hospital has top-notch rehabilitation programs, oncology services, and behavioral health offerings. Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements.
- Functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Guides ancillary staff and collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an LPN program Required.
Work Experience: New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for Preferred
- ACLS if working in Emergency Department Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department within 180 Days Required
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
