LPN - Medical Records - Arrington Living Center - Full Time

About the role

Arrington Living Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to manage medical records for our program. The LPN will ensure records are complete, accurately documented, readily accessible, and systematically organized in accordance with facility protocol, standards of practice, and state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and audit resident medical records for completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency.
• Conduct audits of discharge charts and file them in the appropriate order.
• Perform coding and maintain a diagnosis list for each medical record.
• Participate in case mix audits and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain an inventory of all forms used in medical records.
• Provide basic medical attention to patients, including checking vital signs, recording medical history, and assisting with hygiene.
• Assess patient wellbeing as part of a larger medical team.

Requirements

• Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior nursing home experience preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, 12-hour rotating schedule.
