LPN – Med Surg/Chest Pain Unit

About the role

Hillcrest Hospital's 4 Southeast Unit is a 38-bed medical/surgical unit that is chest pain accredited and provides diagnostics procedures like cardiac Cath, angioplasty, stenting, and valve repair. You will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program. Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
• Preferred qualifications: One year of patient care experience.

Skills

• Manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.
• Extensive standing and walking.
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Physical demand requirements in excess of those for Light Work.

Pay

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $23.25 Maximum hourly: $33.50

Schedule

A caregiver works 7:00pm – 7:30am.
