About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The LPN collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities
• Contributes to the implementation of patient care
• Complies with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures
• Provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Certified to administer medications

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma Program
• Preferred educational qualifications: None specified
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
