LPN / LVN - General

Travel position with a weekly pay range of $1,559 - $1,641, scheduled for 5 shifts per week (8 hours each, 40 hours total) over a 13-week duration.

Schedule

• Mid shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• 5 shifts per week (8 hours per shift)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Evening shifts three times a week
• May float to other units as staffing needs permit

About the Role

The primary functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) include assisting with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for all patients, regardless of age, during their shift. The LPN is responsible for meeting established standards of skilled nursing practice and collaborates with the care team to participate in interdisciplinary care. The role involves advocating for patients effectively and providing person-centered care and services.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with facility policy
• Take patient vital signs such as respiration, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate
• Report changes in patient or resident conditions
• Practice ethically and professionally within scope while advocating for patients
• Maintain clinical competence specific to the care area, including required education within stated timeframes
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document appropriately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system
• Keep nursing personnel and the responsible Registered Nurse informed regarding changes in patient conditions or other pertinent observations
• May assist in other roles as staffing permits and needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• BLS certification
• Experience with EMR/Point Click Care preferred
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
