LPN Long Term Care SIGN ON BONUS

Essential Functions

• Initiates and leads team conferences in the development of individualized nursing care plans
• Affects and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs
• Accurately and promptly implements physician orders
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the team member's qualifications and capabilities
• Supervises, directs and evaluates LPN's and CNA's
• Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents and documents as required by Affinity Healthcare, local, state and federal regulations
• Reports and records pertinent observations, participates in Medicare/Care planning meeting and completes associated documentation within electronic medical record
• Captures nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures
• Assists with or initiates emergency measures for residents
• Participates in orientation and in-service training
• Ensures that supplies are utlized appropriately and that equipment is in good working order (clean and maintained in a safe manner)
• Supervises nursing unit, which includes scheduling, directing nursing staff to the extent permitted by state practice act
• Other duties as assigned
