LPN - Long Term Care - Child Center

About the role

This posting represents a per diem/on-call, day shift position. Hours offered are 7am-7:30pm including weekends. Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. Each CNA cares for approximately 7 residents on day shift, and 11 on nights. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Some of our residents require long-term ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some assistance with activities of daily living. Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a nurturing environment.
• Work closely with respiratory therapy, rehab, and social work to provide holistic care.
• Support each other and our residents with profound teamwork and respect.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care plans.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school for practical nurses.
• Upon hire: Oregon Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year LPN Experience (preferred).
• Coursework/Training: IV Therapy course and competency demonstration.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year LPN Experience (preferred).
• Coursework/Training: IV Therapy course and competency demonstration.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
