LPN - Long Term Care

Responsibilities Plan and manage patient care according to each patient's needs. Interview patients and record their medical history and physical condition. Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Provide routine care for patients; observe patients' health; assist with patient comfort. Assist physicians and registered nurses; prepare specimens for lab courier. Provide wound care; prepare and administer injections and/or enemas; monitor catheters. Requirements Completion of a state-approved LPN program. Current LPN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain). Minimum 2 years of LPN experience is required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. ACLS and NRP certifications are required. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
