LPN Long Term Care

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of nursing care, implementing interventions, and evaluation of patient status in relationship to above
• Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice
• Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation
• Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Nursing school
• Required Licensure and Certifications: Current LPN license in State of Iowa, Current basic Life Support for Healthcare providers from American heart Association
• Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon fire and recertification every 5 years
• Obtains education requires for license renewal
