About the role

Ennoble Care is looking for a full-time Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse to work within and around the Northeast Philadelphia, PA area. The role involves providing care and support to terminally ill patients, assisting the Registered Nurse, performing specialized procedures, preparing and implementing the patient plan of care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary group.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Registered Nurse in carrying out the plan of care.
  • Auxiliary in performing specialized procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse under physician's orders.
  • Implement and evaluate the patient plan of care actively.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Group to keep the patient's plan of care current and address any identified issues.
  • Teach patients and family members about end-of-life care.
  • Foster cooperation among healthcare personnel by understanding and participating in team and staff conferences.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
  • Licensed in VA as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, with hospice experience preferred.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an insured vehicle.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven experience as a hospice LPN.
  • Committed to safety and ethical standards.
  • Solid judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, bilingual a plus.
  • Compassionate and patient with emotional stability.

Qualifications

You must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle. Proven experience as a hospice LPN is preferred, along with a commitment to safety and ethical standards. Excellent communication skills, bilingual proficiency, and emotional stability are also important qualities.
