LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Surgical

Position Overview Provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician within the scope of license. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, performing lab tests, and delivering therapeutic services. Educate patients and families on disease management, self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, resources, and follow-up care. Qualifications & Skills Current or eligible licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent. Key Duties Assist in patient assessments and ensure patient well-being.Administer medications and observe for reactions.Perform laboratory and therapeutic procedures.Educate patients and families about treatment plans, self-care, and available resources.
