LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Overview This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician within the scope of license. Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring for adverse reactions, performing laboratory tests and therapeutic services, and educating patients and families about treatment plans, self-care, resources, and follow-up care. Qualifications Current or eligible license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer, from American Heart Association or Red Cross.Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent. Skills And Duties Patient assessment and well-being assurance.Medication administration and observation for reactions.Performing laboratory and therapeutic procedures.Patient and family education on disease management, self-care, and resources.
