Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Caregiving, patient-focused, and committed to providing high-quality care
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information confidentially

Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and document residents' health conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments
• Aid in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Provide nursing care for residents, including wound care, catheter care, and assistance with daily living activities
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
• Educate residents and their families about health management and procedures
• Ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care when necessary
• Assist with training and supervising nursing assistants (CNA)
