Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, working under RN or manager supervision. Their responsibilities include assessing patient needs, performing routine nursing procedures, coordinating care with team members, and educating patients and caregivers to promote self-care and support. The LPN documents care activities accurately, participates in team conferences, and adheres to regulatory guidelines. They also contribute to staff education, attend in-services, and assist in orienting new employees. The role involves participating in call rotation and weekend visits, serving as a preceptor, and supporting special projects to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma and Nursing Certificate
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with computer software, email, and documentation tools
• Positive leadership and problem-solving abilities
