About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care within the scope of practice under RN or manager supervision, focusing on medical/surgical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient needs
• Perform routine nursing procedures
• Coordinate care with team members
• Educate patients and caregivers
• Ensure accurate documentation
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and special projects
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff
• Attend continuing education
• Communicate patient status changes

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Nursing certificate
• Current LPN licensure
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred
