LPN - General Medicine

About the role

Medina Hospital's 2 South is a General Medicine Unit dedicated to compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-first care. It features four private rooms and 14 semi-private rooms, managing pre-surgical patients and those requiring antibiotic treatment, wound care, advanced dressing changes, and bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report patient data and observations.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Qualifications

• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $23.25
Maximum hourly: $33.50

Schedule

Nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including every other weekend and holiday.
