About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care tailored to developmental needs, adhering to departmental standards and hospital policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments under supervision of an RN or provider
- Assess, reassess, and educate patients on pain management
- Monitor for adverse changes in patient condition and notify appropriate staff
- Administer medications correctly, maintaining current knowledge
- Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in education
- Clean and operate medical equipment properly
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- Current New York State Practical Nursing Registration
- CPR certification
Schedule
Full-time, 8.5-hour shifts.
