LPN - Family Medicine Center - Full Time - Days -(UTICA, NY)

Job Summary

The LPN provides care to patients in accordance with their developmental needs, following the standards of the Department of Nursing and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Performs complete assessment data collection, under the supervision of an RN and / or provider, on all patients
• Assesses and reassesses pain
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management
• Observes and identifies adverse changes in patient condition and notifies appropriate RN and / or provider
• Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration
• Interacts professionally with patient and family. Involves patient and family in patient education
• Cleans and operates equipment correctly
• Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience Requirements

• Required: Current New York State Practical Nursing Registration
• Required: CPR

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Required: Current New York State Practical Nursing Registration
