LPN - Family Medicine Beachwood 80hrs Biweekly Day/Eve
About the Role

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, this role provides direct nursing care for assigned patients (infant through adult) in accordance with the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. The LPN upholds MetroHealth’s mission, vision, values, and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in assigned areas.
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Manage EPIC In-basket, monitor and direct patient flow, and provide coordinated patient care after orientation.
- For the Sexual Health Intake Specialist LPN role in Obstetrics: Complete required training to become a Sexual Health Educator, including coursework and hands-on training in sexual therapies and women’s sexual dysfunction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, including certification to pass medications and completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing IV therapy course (required for Expresscare and procedural areas such as Cardiology, Endoscopy, etc.).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), or obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage patient care efficiently.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between facilities if needed.
Additional Qualifications for Sexual Health Intake Specialist LPN
- Possess or obtain within 1 year of employment:
- 22 hours of formal Category 1 coursework at an International Women’s Sexual Health training seminar through the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
- 1500 hours of hands-on training in sexual therapies and women’s sexual dysfunction, including evaluation and education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Obstetrics and/or Pediatrics.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day; may require extended periods of sitting or standing.
- See and hear within normal visual and audio ranges with or without correction.
- Ability to lift 250–300 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
- Exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
- Exposure to chemicals.

Shift: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (variable)
Biweekly Hours: 80.00
