Responsibilities
- Takes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
- Aids patients as needed or as directed by the physician
- Assists with minor surgical procedures
- Keeps medical records according to established procedures and forms
- Stocks rooms with necessary medical supplies
- Prepares sterilization as required
- Performs other duties related to the business operations of the medical practice as assigned
Requirements
- Completed accredited program meeting nationally accepted standards
- Current LPN license in the State of Ohio
- CPR certification
- Experience in a medical environment
- Willingness to follow orders and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and the public
- Ability to work under time constraints, multitask, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include being on call during the week and every 3rd weekend
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital
- Flexible scheduling is preferred (some weeks 3 days while others may need 4 days)
- Training will be provided in areas such as pre-op, post-op, GI tech, and scope washing
