LPN Emergency Department
About the role
The Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital, a tertiary care teaching hospital, is seeking LPNs for a unique position. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and within the context of the Nursing Professional Practice framework, the ED LPN will be responsible for providing care in our ED’s fast track.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating within the multidisciplinary team
- Patient education and discharge planning
- Identifying changes in patient's condition
- Maintaining and measuring vital signs and pain scores
- Administering medications
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited LPN education program
- Current Connecticut LPN license required prior to start date
- 1+ year of recent experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification by American Heart Association
