About the role
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide essential healthcare services in a correctional facility.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting abnormalities
- Support wound care, dressing changes, and basic treatments
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Conduct health screenings and collect medical histories
- Respond to medical emergencies with first aid or CPR
- Maintain infection control and a safe environment
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care
- Accurately document patient care activities
Requirements
- Active, in-good-standing New Mexico LPN license
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
