About the role
The Clinical Observation Unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital can accommodate a variety of adult patients, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory, who meet initial criteria for observation. The unit aims to provide efficient protocol-based care to patients with defined diagnoses or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma, and congestive heart failure. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to ensure optimal nursing care for the patients.
Responsibilities
- Integrates skills and knowledge to provide patient-centered nursing care to meet the patient's needs.
- Affords assistance in preventing illness and injury, maintaining wellness, and offering comfort to patients.
- Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care.
Requirements
- Current West Virginia license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Completion of an approved LPN program.
- One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
