About the Role
Provides direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting under RN supervision and medical orders.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and prepares patient medical records, initiates follow-up, and reviews patient needs.
- Accepts verbal and written orders, observes, documents, and reports patient data and responses.
- Performs basic nursing procedures, administers treatments, immunizations, and medications as prescribed.
- Conducts point-of-care testing, manages laboratory and imaging reports, and communicates results.
- Ensures documentation complies with standards, assists in revising care plans, and monitors patient responses.
- Supports emergency situations, delegates tasks to unlicensed staff, and ensures care quality.
- Follows discharge plans, processes referrals, and provides patient education and instructions.
- Manages immunization records, updates registries, and ensures vaccine inventory and compliance with guidelines.
- Participates in staff training, maintains infection control protocols, and assists with clinical procedures.
- Maintains supplies, schedules patient visits, and handles administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) with current BLS certification.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of infection control, medication procedures, and patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nursing and clinics.
- Proficiency with PC applications.
