About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect outpatient nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and follow up on patient records
- Implement care plans and administer treatments and medications
- Perform point-of-care testing and document patient responses
- Manage immunization data and ensure compliance with health guidelines
- Educate patients and coordinate referrals
- Assist in emergency situations and support infection control protocols
- Train staff, organize supplies, and schedule patient care
Requirements
- Current Hawaii LPN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of nursing procedures, immunization guidelines, and infection control
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Qualifications
- Preferred: prior clinic or nursing experience
- Preferred: proficiency in PC applications
