About the Role
As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. This is a full-time position at our busy Franciscan Medicine Clinic in Port Orchard, WA—a large Primary and Multispecialty clinic with a cohesive and patient-centered care team. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required. Free onsite parking is available.
Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapt to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for practitioner visit: rooms patients, obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information (e.g., height, weight, drug allergies, current medications, and presenting problem); chaperones and documents the patient exam, ensuring patient privacy and comfort.
- Performs or assists with patient care, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures to the appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; follows triage standing orders/protocols for routine nursing situations and refers complex, urgent, or emergent situations to an RN or provider.
- Assists with point-of-care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests only)/lab tests following established protocols/instructions.
- Administers patient medications per written provider order; tracks and logs medication usage per established policies; inventories counts of controlled substances.
- Documents procedures and interactions in the patient’s medical record in accordance with established procedures; enters, pends, and signs orders as appropriate.
- Organizes exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep, and re-stocking of supplies; prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains related equipment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing (required upon hire).
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Washington State (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).
Qualifications
- One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care LPN work experience.

Pay
$28.55 - $48.43 per hour.
