About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a licensed health care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or provider. The LPN contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by attending to clinical tasks and patient care. The LPN works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team.
Responsibilities
- Attends to clinical tasks and patient care under the direction of the RN and/or provider.
- Works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team.
- Provides nursing care as directed by the RN and/or provider.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participates in ongoing education and training programs to enhance professional development.
Requirements
- Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
- Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
- Understanding of documentation standards.
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
- Experience in a physician office, preferred.
Pay
$25.00 - $36.80 per hour
