About the role
The Ambulatory Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the collaborative interdisciplinary team. The role involves performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding; reinforcing the patient and family teaching program through health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or licensed Physician. The Registered Nurse oversees the interdisciplinary plan of care and ensures its consistency with the medical treatment plan.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the care process consistent with license and scope of practice.
- Document both objective and subjective physical findings and interventions.
- Administer patient care activities according to standards, organizational policy, and procedural guidelines.
- Support performance improvement initiatives by participating in educational activities.
- Assume responsibility for continued professional and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as LPN in the State of New Jersey.
- Current BLSHCP.
Speciality Experience
- Family Medicine/Urgent Care: 3-5 years clinical experience including pediatric experience required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Cardiology: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Internal Medicine: 3-5 years clinical experience in medical/surgical required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Pediatric Pulmonary: 3-5 years pediatric nursing experience required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Trauma Outpatient: 3-5 years medical/surgical experience required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Clinic Services: 3-5 years clinical experience in medical/surgical required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Infectious Disease: 3-5 years clinical experience in medical/surgical required; strong organizational skills preferred.
- Mission Services: 3-5 years clinical experience in medical/surgical required; strong organizational skills preferred.
