Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Recall program.
  • Communicate & interact successfully with patients by telephone.
  • Communicate & interact successfully with referring physicians and referring physicians’ offices by telephone.
  • Perform insurance verification duties as necessary. Enter information regarding insurance into the computer system.
  • Collect medical history from patient via phone interview.
  • Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
  • Verify &/or enter all patient demographic information in the computer system.
  • Enter data in EMR.
  • Maintain data regarding phone calls, faxes, etc.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved LPN program.
  • Must have active licensure and maintain licensure required.
  • Membership in the state and/or national SGNA recommended.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Completed IV infusion therapy program required.
  • Prioritization, application of judgment, communication skill and tact, ability to complete necessary tasks in reasonable time frames.
  • Organizational skills.
