LPN

Responsible for

• Complies with established patient care guidelines
• Maintains established clinic policies, procedures and objectives
• Aware of patient rights and confidentiality issues
• Abides by established communication policy with regard to the age specific populations

What You Will Do

• Accurately obtains, organizes and records necessary patient data
• Updates all patient records subsequent to clinical information from physicians, nurse practitioner, including lab, etc.
• Aids in maintaining pertinent records
• Aids physicians, RNs, nurse practitioners with procedures as needed
• Performs under supervision of physician, RN, and/or nurse practitioner, the day-to-day clinical operations
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment for patient and staff
• May perform Limited Scope X-Ray duties in accordance to state regulations with certification as required or on an as needed basis
• Performs other job functions as assigned or requested

Education & Work Experience

• Required - Technical Degree or Diploma Nursing
• PREFERRED - No prior work experience

Licenses & Certifications

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee
• Tennessee Board of Nursing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated ability to navigate the EMR with appropriate documentation
• Able to review computer reports following evidenced based guidelines
• Able to react quickly to emergency situations

Physical Demands

• Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion
• Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision
• Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact
• Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials
