Job Summary and Qualifications

As an LPN at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care when every second counts. You will use your clinical skills, steady focus, and attention to detail to help stabilize patients and support urgent interventions. You will work alongside a highly skilled team committed to providing lifesaving care and improving human life – one critical moment at a time.

• Supporting emergency care by administering medications, assisting with procedures, monitoring conditions, and performing vital tests within your scope.
• Documenting patient assessments, observations, and interventions clearly to support seamless hand-offs and coordinated care.
• Monitoring patient conditions and responding quickly to changes to support timely treatment and patient safety.
• Educating patients and families with compassion, explaining care and health information in a way that’s easy to understand.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• IV Therapy must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date (LPN).

Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location. HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services. Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children. We also offer the area’s only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
