About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a licensed health care provider who delivers nursing care under the direction of an RN and/or provider. The LPN contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by performing clinical tasks and patient care, collaborating with all staff to assist patients and facilitate successful interactions within the practice team. This role reflects and advances the mission and goals of the practice both internally and throughout the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care under the direction of an RN and/or provider.
- Perform clinical tasks to support patient care and practice operations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient interactions.
- Follow medical orders and initiate appropriate emergency procedures.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Adhere to documentation standards and healthcare regulations.
- Operate and manage medical equipment, supplies, and materials.
Requirements
- Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
- Understanding of documentation standards.
- Ability to work well in a team setting with strong cooperation skills.
- Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
- Experience in a physician office is preferred.

Pay
$18.50–$32.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
- Part-time: 16 hours per week.
- Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
