Responsibilities
- Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are administered according to the Physician’s orders.
- Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
- Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
- Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
- Provide direct resident care.
- Supervise resident care work of non-licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.
- Demonstrate leadership in upholding the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift.
Qualifications
- Active license as an LPN or Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
