LPN - Allergy and Rheumatology - Part Time

About the role

Department: Allergy and Rheumatology. Location: 222 Alexander Street Suite 3000, Rochester, NY 14607. Hours per week: Part Time. Summary: As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you are key in the success of operations and compassionate patient care every day.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members.
• Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols.
• Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process.
• Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or ASN/BSN in Nursing.
• Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Physical requirements: Moderate clinical role requiring continual movement, standing, walking, lifting 20–50 lbs., pushing/pulling equipment, assisting with patient positioning; frequent bending, twisting, reaching; high sensory acuity; emotional and cognitive demands; exposure to infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, radiation; TB testing, mask‑fit testing, physical exams common.

Qualifications

• One year experience preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) certification.

Pay

Pay range: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full‑time applicant; may be modified and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, day shifts. Part‑time hours per week.
