Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care with direction by a Registered Professional Nurse or Physician.
• Functions as part of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Collaborates with support personnel to direct and supervise patient care.
• Documents patient health data accurately and implements appropriate interventions.
• Advocates for patients to ensure their autonomy, dignity, and rights are preserved.
• Advises patients on their care plans and educates them on their health conditions.
• Ensures compliance with medical orders and nursing standards.
• Participates in educational activities to maintain professional knowledge and skills.
• Works collaboratively to solve care problems and utilizes resources prudently.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Practical Nursing program.
• Current NYS licensure as a Practical Nurse or valid interim permit.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and bending.
• Knowledge of clinical skills and patient care protocols.

Pay

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The pay range for this position is USD $26.77/Hr. to USD $40.55/Hr.

The schedule for this role may vary depending on the department and shift requirements.
