About the role
The LPN performs nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of clients, including giving prescribed medications and treatments according to approved policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide documentation in accordance with standards of practice and established policies and procedures of the Ranch and accrediting and regulatory standards.
- Deliver newly ordered medication to appropriate program site and document in respective medical log book.
- Evaluate client and check vital signs.
- Ensure that evaluation, observation, and documentation for utilization of restraints are in accordance with clinical administrative standards.
- Review laboratory and related psychiatric and medical health assessments as clinically indicated.
- Assist in the health screening of youth by initiating the health screening examination when necessary, establishing screening and medical profile as needed, ensuring required immunizations are current and documented.
- Take off physicians’ orders and orders medications in accordance with prescriptions.
- Aid in scheduling medical appointments in accordance with physicians’ orders.
- Effectively educate staff regarding treatment plans and medical conditions pertaining to clients.
- Transport clients, as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and LPN program certification.
- One year of nursing experience.
- Active LPN license in the state of Ohio.
- Active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Pay and Schedule
Shift Differentials: Added to base rate for 2nd Shift (2 pm – 9:59 pm): $2.50/hr
Schedule: Full-time, Non-Exempt (Monday – Friday, 2 pm – 10 pm). Fully in office.
