About the role
Red River Youth Academy in Norman, Oklahoma, is a residential treatment facility that serves adolescents experiencing serious emotional/behavioral disorders. At Red River Youth Academy we believe in hope, second chances, and new beginnings. We focus on teaching our clients functional life skills and the ability to perceive and process information effectively, enabling them to make healthier life decisions. The adolescents of today are tomorrow's future and society needs to be pro-active in building a strong foundation for success. We at Red River Youth Academy are continuously improving our facility, our program, and ourselves so that we can give our clients every opportunity and the tools they need to succeed. Our staff consists of licensed professionals from the disciplines of psychiatry, psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, dietary services, and special education. Our staff is trained in every aspect of the program and exemplifies the best in each profession.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in identifying, maximizing, and relating their strengths to appropriate social, educational (academic and vocational), and occupational goals.
- Help patients prepare and adjust to a drug free existence, and offer assistance (emotional and physical) in problematic issues.
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory agency requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- Licensed LPC or LCSW in the state of Oklahoma (fully licensed or under supervision for clinical hours).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass an extensive background check and drug test.
- No felonies or misdemeanors on record, and no VPO issued against you.
Pay
$65,000 - $70,000 per year. $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time.
