Lower School Assistant Teacher
About the role
The Hudson School is seeking an assistant teacher to join our Lower School team. This position begins in the 2026-27 academic year and is full-time and in-person.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students
- Record-keeping and documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and support the school's mission
- Evaluate and grow professionally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- A deep interest in children and ability to connect with them
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
- Able to collaborate with others in an open way
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors
- Able to bend or kneel to facilitate communication with young children, climb multiple flights of stairs while supervising children, and maintain a high level of activity while supervising children
- Treat all members of The Hudson School community with respect and civility
