Lowe Boats: Painter
Position Overview
As part of the talented Lowe Boats team as a Painter, you will prepare, mask, and spray surfaces of aluminum boats with primer and enamel topcoat.
Essential Functions
- Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
- Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
- Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
- Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
- Cleans spraying equipment with solvent.
- Responsible for following the quality systems procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
- Requires standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shift
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in painting, autobody or applicable training preferred
Working Conditions
- May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned area
- Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs.
- Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily
- PPE required: Hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves, respirator

Pay Range
The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.55-19.75 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
