Low Voltage Installer

DescriptionInstall, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which mayinclude security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance asneeded. Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation supportand training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers. Refers more complexissues to more experienced colleagues. Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledgeof electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead. Act as our customers best service provider at all times Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality. Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the tradeprogram. Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with anassigned task. Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans. Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods,system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable supportinstallation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support). Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications todetermine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complexspecifications. Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awarenessof, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power toolssuch as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprintsand drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area,velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
